Case Study - Software Company
During a recent audit for a software company, Avema discovered charges for voice circuits
to a site that no longer existed. These overcharges occurred for several years prior to
the audit. The vendor argued that our client did not have proper documentation regarding
the cancellation of these services, and that it was our client?s responsibility to formally
notify the vendor of any cancellations, even though the vendor itself was contracted to
manage the move of the services to the new location.
Despite the fact that the
vendor was uncooperative, Avema successfully negotiated a refund cheque for the full amount
of over $200,000.
